Cheeese.

First and foremost, I would like to wish Syaz a happy fourteenth birthday. I'm envious because you're younger than me, but then again, I've lived longer. Ha ha.
Anyway, I will always miss the name-calling and the "penalties", right, "Aishah"?

This morning, my aunt and uncle visited, bringing along Nathan and Isaac (the little monsters, my uncle calls them).

My brother is a stingy little pain in the ass. He likes to pick fights with our cousins and cry over many things. *sigh* Brothers.

Speaking of which, Nate's little brother isn't in any way a monster (yet). He's like, the epitome of adorable. Even if you don't pay attention to him, he just sits quietly and watches the grown-ups talk and the little boys run around and scream.
He's got dimples when he smiles. I was trying to get him to smile long enough for me to take a picture of him, but I think my reflexes were too slow for that.

After we all admired Isaac's cuteness and got my brother to stop chasing Nathan, we left for my other uncle's house for lunch.

When we got home, my other cousins came to visit. Then together we went to see the Halloween baby. Her English name is "Mischa". Our Chinese relatives are going to have a hard time pronouncing that.

Babies live such lazy lives. All they do is sleep, eat, sleep, eat, then poop a bit, sleep, eat, then sleep again. Diapers are changed for them, clothes are washed, and butts are wiped clean by doting parents and grandparents who expect nothing in return but a smile and some gratitude in the future.

...I bet they must be so jealous of us relatively older people who can walk and jump and play games and tell jokes and generally able to communicate without having to cry or whimper.

Oh well.

Civilization IV

Have you read about PMB results via SMS?

Personally I think that's not very helpful at all.

I've accomplished quite a few things over the span of the last few days. For example, I started playing CIV again and created the Kingdom of Something.

I also finished reading Spiderwick, or to be more accurate, The Spiderwick Chronicles the day before and started on the Pure Dead Series today. Spiderwick is like a cross between A Series Of Unfortunate Events and The Enchanted Forest Chronicles except with stunning illustrations and two authors instead of one.
I liked it because it was very straightforward and didn't have details by the truckload, like Eragon.

I went back to the National TB Centre whatever to get my Mantoux injection checked for the results: a mere 0 mm.
No induration, no itch, no redness, nothing. I wonder what that means. I think it's good if it turns red, but now I'm not so sure.
I didn't bother to read the article carefully, so I'm going to go back and see what the other results mean. The internet doesn't say anything about zero millimetre results. Meh.
They all state stuff like "how to measure Mantoux indurations" and "how to hold your ruler right".

It'll be easier to ask a doctor, wouldn't it? Yeah.

Now I have to go back and continue my war with Germany with Napoleon.

Adieu.

Medical check?

Baby Alyssa. She's got these really huge eyes, but whenever I visit she's sleeping. Newborns always look a bit funny to me, but they get cuter after a few days.

I have the hiccups.

My day went like this:

- Dropped off my brother at his playschool for their end of year costume party.

- Went to RIPAS. Underground parking must be creepy at night.

- Waited for some woman to give me and my mum instructions concerning this medical check I had to go through.

- Chose to do the X-ray first, because it was least scary. Actually, the least scary one was the ENT (ear nose and throat) check up, but the X-ray queue was relatively short.

- Next was the electrocardiagram (ECG for short) thingy. Heart beat was urm... recorded on a piece of pink-ish graph paper. The woman gave me the paper and told me to leave. I'm no doctor though, so I had pretty much zero idea what to do with it. Apparently some doctor will have to examine the graph and tell me if my heart is healthy or not. But that's another story.

- The Ear, Nose and Throat department was on the third floor of some building connected to the main building by a bridge. Hospital lifts are creepy, man. A doctor jammed some... thing into my ear and signed my sheet of paper.

- The Lab was the worse. Kind looking woman drew two bottles of my blood. The needle didn't hurt much, but I felt a bit weird watching my blood gush into a bottle like a fountain.

- Next stop: National TB centre. Or something like that. The building was painted a strange shade of orange all over, even the interior. Another woman did the Mantoux test on me and injected my poor left arm with (according to Wikipedia) PPD tuberculin. They told me not to scratch it if it got itchy, because itchiness and redness is a good sign and come back on Saturday.

- The last test that day was simple. I was wondering whether they were going to jab needles into my gums, since they've done that to my arm already. But all the doctor did was check my teeth and I was free to go.

All right, I have to go. Stomach's rumbling and The Simpsons is on soon.

Fifteen.

Happy birthday Ashleyyy!! Sorry I'm not putting any mushy stuff here. Hahah. We here in Brunei still miss you loads.

Babies, bunnies, and cake.

I'm supposed to go to the MoE later this afternoon. I wonder what they want with me. Whatever it is, I didn't do it..!

Oh, and I have to wear full school uniform. As if three years in MS wasn't enough. (I know I sound like I hate school. Well, I do. Sometimes.)

Then I'd have the opportunity to go and see the latest addition to my family at RIPAS. Told ya it was a baby boom.
Born at midnight (according to a text message), 26th November 2008. She's called Alyssa Farzana.

I love babies. Especially when I'm not the one responsible for diaper-changing and feeding, et cetera. Cute little things. So fragile and innocent.
The fact that all babies will grow up into potential arseholes kind of spoils it, don't you think?
Keep in mind I said "potential". Which means not every baby will turn into one.

I went to see my cousin's baby on Monday. Seeing her makes me miss Isaac. He's the cutest. I haven't seen him for ages.

Maybe I'll post a picture of the babies one day. Whee, babies.

I feel strangely compelled to tell you guys why I didn't blog yesterday.

Are you ready for my epic answer?

Are you sure?

Okay, here goes....

...I was busy.

Hahah. You've been conned.

Hey, Myra, check this out. I was very jobless yesterday and did this.

Roxanne.

I miss F1. It's like, there's a big, gaping hole in my life right now. I always feel as if there's something missing every Sunday.
You know, "Whoops, there isn't a race to catch today..."

Form 4 class lists for MS are out already. I'm not too sure who's in which class, who's taking what subject or who's with who together with whoever, but it doesn't really concern me because I have no choice but to be abducted by aliens before the school term starts.

Okay, yeah, I lied.

Still, I want to know about who's in which class, who's taking what subject and who's with who together with whoever because knowledge is power, no matter how small or insignificant that piece of knowledge is.
Also, I just have to satisfy my ever-growing curiosity (they say curiosity kills the cat, but what can I say, it's a flaw of mine),

Rumour has it that PMB results come out on the twenty-ninth of November, which is this Saturday. To be honest, I don't feel the least nervous. I feel that nothing I say or do or think now will have any effect on my results whatsoever, therefore, because there is nothing more I can do, I've decided I shouldn't care much.
But that makes me seem confident... Which is bad, 'cause I am not confident at all.
I will not say I have tried my best, nor will I say I should've done better.
Being the idiot that I am, I will pretend I don't really care.
Even if I shouldn't, I sure will feel bad if I totally screw it.

Enough of that crap.

I like marshmallows.

I think it should be illegal to stare conspicuously at other people.

Also, it should be illegal to force people to eat when they don't feel like eating.

Oh, and uh... wait. I've got nothing else to say. Never mind then.

Adieu, good people.
