Taking a break from Bio (I take too many breaks, actually) to come here and blog.

Didn't post yesterday because I was tired. What is this. It's only the start of the week. I'm supposed to be feeling refreshed and alive from the weekend, but instead I feel worse and with every passing hour I wish it were the weekend again.

But then again, I wish it wouldn't be, so then deadlines wouldn't seem so close.

But then again, we'd be over with a Cell Bio quiz, Chem test, and a Physics test which I am deathly afraid of failing.

Oh insecurities.

Help me.

Spent yesterday with girls, because that's what I do, I'm a girl and I have to hang out with girls sometimes. Got nothing done. Have a Physics report to write. I'm rambling. My mind is in a state of "what are you doing get back to studying but oh no I think I'm pushing myself into overdrive you're an idiot for procrastinating".

Oh yeah talk about stress.

E-learning today, so no school. Spent most of my time on the internet, which I guess fulfills that requirement. Thankful for the massive cut-down of workload from last year's e-learning, but that just gives us more of an excuse to go online and slack.

Tried to film. Tried. Did. Took a forever. Laptop dying. Brain dying. Can't talk in proper sentences.

I'm scared.

Of failure.

P.S. Why do I keep feeling as if I'm missing out on something? Constantly. I don't know why. It's like I'm forgetting something but I don't know what.

P.P.S. Congratulations to my aunt and uncle for the safe delivery of their latest baby. She's going to be adorable and awesome, I swear.

Melbourne 2011.

Listening to Maroon 5's latest album, 'Hands All Over', right now, 'cause I realised you could download entire albums of Mediafire. Oh man I'm slow, but better late than never.

It's quite good, actually. Listening to Maroon 5 albums make you feel good. Their songs have this feel to it, and Adam Levine's voice makes everything so smooth and strangely sexy in that high-pitched way. Good stuff, man, good stuff.

Maroon 5 is coming in April, and I really, really want to attend their concert. The trouble is that it's on a Monday, and I'm unsure whether the hostel would let us go. And if we were to wait for them to approve our application, all the tickets would probably run out. How fun. Stuck in a dilemma.

Might as well just not go.

I hate that when the process becomes so unappealing, it just puts you off.

But yeah, this is only Maroon 5. I love Maroon 5, but yeah, I probably can live with them coming over and me not going to see them. I mean, I survived missing Green Day, amongst others.

Perhaps if MCR came over. I'd probably kill to attend that concert. I feel as if my life wouldn't ever be complete if I didn't watch them live. I love them to bits.

So yeah, spent all day attempting to do stuff for all those quizzes and tests we have coming up, while trying to catch up with F1.

Yeahp, the season's started. Realised yesterday before qualifying started that the Live Timing applet from formula1.com wouldn't run, which really did frustrate me.

Ended up using other live commentary sites instead. Mm yeah.

It still kinda sucks to not be able to watch the race live. It's never the same, staring at words and bunches of numbers on a screen in complete silence. I need the sound of those revving engines.

Results, results. Oh God, Red Bull are insanely fast, but take a look at the fastest laps and you realise Ferrari managed to sneak a few in as well. Fastest lap goes to Massa (who goes up to seventh 'cause both Saubers got disqualified).

Congratulations to Vettel for his first win of the season, and to Petrov for his first podium position for Renault. Excellent performance on his behalf. Hamilton got second with a damaged undertray for running over grass.

Alonso's race died after a bad start, but managed to obtain a fourth place behind Petrov. Good racing from him, definitely.

Perez is definitely my driver of the day. Ran his first race on only one pit stop, and surprisingly, squeezed in a fastest lap with his Sauber. Pity him and Kobayashi got disqualified. We're definitely going to keep an eye on him.

Okay, going off now. Tomorrow's the start of a new week and I don't want to die from a lack of sleep.

P.S. Kimi's absence is felt greatly. F1 just isn't the same without the Iceman.

Heath Ledger.

Listening to 'Apologize' right now, and it sickens me to know how I've almost forgotten how beautiful it is. I remember how much we used to like this song back when it came out a few years ago.

"It's too lateeee" was like "It's Friday Friday" now, except it lasted longer and had a thousand times more musical ingenuity.

And since I procrastinate so much, my playlist has moved onto Muse. Oh yeah, Muse. My love for Muse is still going strong, I have to admit. Brilliant band.

Watched 'The Dark Knight' this morning. Yeah, call me slow, but Christian Bale.

Heath Ledger was so amazing and convincing, every time The Joker showed up I'd get chills. Oh so good. And dedicated to his role.

And I feel horrible for watching it so late after its release. But hey, better late than never.

I love comic book superhero movies. And with Christopher Nolan everything just gets better.

Then did like, stuff. Should be more productive, so it's a short post for today.

P.S. I find watching Christian Bale interviews a bit unnerving, because it's like he can't seem to be able to settle on an accent.

Odyssey.

Yay it's a Friday (and I thank Rebecca Black for making it such a big, big thing) again.

The strangest thing is that how today feels like the start of another week of holidays. But it's not, and our week of holidays has only just ended. Term 2 Week 1 is officially over, and it's felt like a ridiculous continuation of Term 1.

Deadlines are approaching, I'm doomed, but it's a Friday night. Give me some time, yes.

Just got back from 'Odyssey' (that's what our annual Music department concert is called this year). Not filming, for once. I'm so proud of Media people. Always there to lend a hand and make sure things go smoothly. Also just realised that the big video camera could be connected to the projector to show whatever the camera's taking on stage. Cool.

And yeah, the school orchestra was awesome, and the lucky draw was awesome fun. Nikki won a portable DVD player (probably one of the most obsolete pieces of technology right now), and Wang Bo magically won a Wii set, which he chose to donate it to the hostel.

If only we had won both the television and the Wii. If only.

So school today. Had Cell Bio. Tetrahymena are so bloody cute. Saw them swimming around, and felt kinda bad afterwards for intentionally killing them for the sake of Science and counting the number of coloured cells they'd nom-ed (or engulfed).

Then got released early during Math. Which is ridiculously rare, given our Math teacher is Mr Chia. Imaginary numbers are strange. I honestly don't see the point in it, but whatever. i is fun, in some ways.

Was confused during Physics. Waves. Oh waves.

Spent CCA time watching random videos (especially 'Friday' and its follow-up parody 'Saturday) and attempting to autotune.

Okay, need to go off now. Want to watch 'The Dark Knight' 'cause KT lent me the DVD and I still haven't seen it yet. Does that count as deprived?

P.S. Hostel life is awesome when school ends late.

Oh my goodness, another week has gone by and 'Rebecca Black' is still trending on Twitter.

It's funny, because it's like a decade or so ago news like this would've taken a month to spread the extent it's reached now, but I seem to be finding some people talking about how 'Friday' is such old news. Already. Like dude, it's only been a week. Let us have some fun.

I think it's good that we can find fun, even when it seems as if the world is a dark and dreary place sometimes. Earthquakes have just struck Myanmar, and it's frighteningly close in vicinity to where we are now.

And frighteningly close to the Japanese earthquake, which happened almost a fortnight ago. It's scary. Yeah, 2012. Yeah, Mayans. I bet you can't wait to say "I told you so".

Death, destruction, disease, disasters, everywhere. Why? What's going on?

Well, the earth's shifting. Again. Tectonic plate movements. They happen. But with such frequency? That's what's freaking many of us out.

We are not prepared.

But yeah, let's talk about other things.

PE today was surprisingly relaxing and non-vigorous. Did five rounds (2.0 km) only, and it was like, epic easy jogging. Talked all the way with Deborah, about random stuff, and about what happened to 203. Oh man, it makes me miss 03 when we bring up memories. Seems like a bloody long time ago, but when you think about it, it's only been two years.

It's strange how our perception of time is twisted. Some things seem like yesterday, some days seem to take forever to end, but some events seem so distant but yet so close. It's funny.

Had Malay. Made up some weird story that concerned a bit of Geog. Loved Faiz and Ahmad's story though.

Geog test was okay-ish. Got released early, attempted to rub it in the faces of the History people, then realised they got released before we did. It's depressing.

Have to admit I wasn't paying much attention during English. Whoops.

Math was fun. I like Mr Chia. He says the funniest things. Mathematicians really do have too much time on their hands, don't they?

P.S. Oh subject specialisation. Time to do something about it before the indecisiveness kicks in.

Field trip.

Listening to MCR on a higher-than-usual volume right now, 'cause sometimes you just have to clear your mind and let the MCR-ness embrace your soul. Mm yeah. Now my soul feels good.

Also, found out this morning that they've released 'Planetary (Go!)' as their latest single, complete with music video here. Gee's hair still looks ridiculously awesome.

So yeah, school today. Rained early in the morning, but was still pretty humid, which means that it'll probably rain heavier and longer sometime soon. Hope this humidity doesn't keep up. Don't like it that way.

Had no class early in the morning. Non-existent Malay, leading to a break all the way till 11. Oh yeah, felt good to just sit there and talk about nothing in particular.

And it also feels good to not have class when everyone else is.

Chem was fine. I like Mrs Chong. She bears our lameness with great composure. It's fun.

Then went on a field trip during Econs (I have a feeling plenty of people didn't realise it was today either) to the Marina Bay City Gallery, where we looked at stuff. I'm not quite sure what it has to do with what we're learning in Econs now, but I liked the architectural planning stuff and all those fancy-looking display things. Oh yeah, I lack the vocabulary to properly name them.

Speaking of lacking, English (the module) is making me feel sad. I know I shouldn't let it get to me 'cause I know my English isn't that horribly atrocious, but it just hurts inside to be terrible at a subject you once thought was your only hope. Whatever happened?

I figure it's not me, it's them. Lowering our self-esteem like that. It's confusing.

Okay, I'm going off to read notes for our Bio D quiz tomorrow. Oh man I adore Bio D.

Coincidences.

Oh dear God, talk about a small world, yes?

So all that Disneyland brainwashing wasn't for nothing after all, was it? Like, dude, I'm so amazed at all the epicness that's happened today.

Oh so so amazed.

People who went on the exchange trip to Brunei have come back, and according to Thao, according to Fatinn, it went awesomely and they happened to meet Dr Sun at The Mall (yeahp, our one and only).

What a coincidence, huh?

I'm totally amazed.

The last time NUSH people went on an exchange trip to Brunei, I met them at The Mall too, and then at MS the day after. It's such a tiny place, where else would you go? Oh it's so cute.

So yeah, first day of Term 2 today.

English, then Math, then Physics.

Then did this rhythm thing as part of our "Aesthetic Appreciation Programme" during assembly.

Then went for CCA and tried to script for our M&Mentary. Hoping we can get it up by April Fool's, but I have a feeling it's going to take a lot of rushing to get there. Perhaps not then, but if we can it'd be epic.

Bio Bio Bio. I love Bio D.

I don't know what I want to drop next year. Thought of dropping Physics. I might. Who knows. Thought of majoring Geog. I might. Who knows. Sigh. I'm not sure of what I'm good at and what I suck at anymore. Things are changing and I'm confused.

Maybe it's because I put more effort into subjects I know I suck at. Maybe.

Oh this could qualify as subject discrimination. Equality for all modules.
