We had this sexuality education thing during ACE this morning. Some parts were really weird and some parts were just plain funny.
Then we had Malay, which was cut short by half an hour 'cause our teacher had to leave for an appointment. Was supposed to summarise a newspaper article with Insan and Ahmad but failed terribly. Kept going off-topic and ended up making up stuff on the spot. Not good.
Since we had around twenty minutes left before we could go back to class (other people had Chinese), we wasted our time by trying test out this phone book thing from Mythbusters with dictionaries instead. Yos was interleaving the pages of our Malay dictionaries when Abdur came and tried to test it out.
This is what happens when jobless people are given free time.
It was kinda cool, though we gave up interleaving page by page and did it by chunks instead.
Since our Math teacher fractured her leg and can't come for two weeks, we had this replacement teacher during our two-hour Math. I liked him, what with the Chinese accent, funny hand gestures and letting us arm-wrestle in class. Too bad he had to leave.
After all that, I accompanied Fatinn to Clementi.
To be honest, I think the Yamaha music school there wants to suck people dry of their hard-earned cash.
Also, I think many parents send their kids off for music lessons just 'cause they want them to be more accomplished in life and therefore get into great schools and colleges. I don't like that.
Now they practice just because they want to pass their practical exams, and learn songs only so they won't be scolded by their teachers.
That's not right, is it?
I completely disapprove. People should learn an instrument because they love to, not just to get those grade certs.
Got to go do Math now.
Adieu.
P.S. It's Ly-En's birthday today. Happy birthday, dude.
P.P.S. Gay connection wouldn't let me post this, so I'm doing it today.
