Mosquito bites.

Announcement:

MB3R IS MOVING TO D102 ON A TEMPORARY BASIS.

Do not come looking for us at D304. Thank you.

Cikgu Haiseh pitied Zal for having to climb three floors to get to class using crutches. See? She does have a heart.

Speaking of discipline, there was statement last week made by another teacher that there will no longer be a "discipline teacher" in MS. Instead, all the teachers have the authority to "discipline" us. Brilliant.
I'm having trouble deciding who is scarier, Cikgu Haiseh, or Miss Ivy?

Back on topic. Whoever drew on the toilet walls, you better own up. The teachers will help you and give you counselling, and get your life back on track. Even if you get scolded.
And if you don't own up, you'll have to face the anger of the rest of the girls in school if we get made to clean the toilets this Wednesday. Including the guys' toilets. *cracks knuckles*
Be afraid. Be very afraid.
Though I'm not sure if making students wash the school toilets is legal... After all, they did ban phones from school. Maybe they should just ban pens and solve their problem that way, like they banned mobile phones. Not taking any initiative, but just taking away the problem by removing the (good) thing that causes it.
People use computers to spam, spread viruses and hack into others' property. Why not ban computers?
People die of car accidents. Why not ban cars?
People drown. Why not ban water?
People kill other people. Why not ban people altogether?
Smoking is bad for you. Did they ban cigarettes? Stop the production? No. They stop people from smoking in some places, and it's up to the people themselves.
So no matter what, you can't ban anything. The law can be enforced, but it's hard, because not all people are that nice.
It's not the way to solve this problem, that's all I'm saying.

We were in the Audi before that, for a ceramah ugama.
I listened for while, in between my friends telling me to "masuk Islam". Syahirah said she'd teach me how to be a Muslim, Maz was asking me what Malay name I like, Wani was nodding encouragingly, and Neko was laughing her head off. Zakie was good. She did not laugh. Thanks, man.
For your information, I don't want to be Muslim. I respect it, but I'm not one for religion.
The school had replaced the stage backdrop that said "English Se ior Prep red Speech Competition" with a banner depicting something to do with Maulud Nabi. I knew the letters were gonna fall off.

We missed Maths. Yay.
And we escaped our Geo test. 'Cher was exceptionally okay today.
And we got to go to the Reading Room.

Cool.

P.S. Isn't D102 a Pre-U class?

Abhorsen.

First things first:
Tira, it wasn't that pink, okay? It was uh... I don't know. I was hoping you'd forget that.

Our Geo teacher mysteriously didn't come to work today, so we had half an hour free time until our Head of CCA came to fill in for her. No test, but more homework.

It was good though, 'cause we could talk to her about the mistakes (or typos) made in our CCA column in our new namelist. The namelist that came with the results sheet.
We scrambled like wild dogs to fresh meat (pardon my disgusting simile) to get our hands on it, but the guys got it first. That's one advantage to sitting right in front of the teacher's table. My lot got to it second.

Positions, positions, positions. Fazrul managed to beat Sil Suan after like what, two years? He was grinning ear to ear and was in an unusually cheerful mood all day.
Stephanie's reaction was funny. "Wat? Number four again ah? Aiyoh."
Ahahah.
Congrats, Syaz, for getting a joint sixth with Firdaus. I know you guys will "settle this next test". As will I. As. Will. I.
Watch out.

Since our Geo test has been postponed to tomorrow, I'm hoping this Maulud Nabi celebration will last until half-past eleven, or in other words, until our Geo period is over. Unless, of course, 'cher has forgotten about it completely. Hello? I'd like a dose of amnesia on this person please, yes, yes, thank you. =)

I don't get Geo. It's the worse subject I'm taking now. Worse than History. I actually love History compared to Geography.
Geo, it not only makes an interesting subject sound very uninteresting, it asks a lot of stupid questions. All in all, thumbs down. *points thumb down*

Commerce is okay. My favourite topic (name) so far: "Sole Traders".
Sell me your soul, for I am the Soul Trader. Muahahahah.

Awesome.

Maths is monotonous, but survivable.

English is fine, sometimes urgh-ish, but fine.

IRK ain't so bad, you know.

Science, it's fun. I love the eyeballs and all that weird stuff. A few topics aren't so good though.

History may be boring, dull and sleep-inducing, but we hardly ever do any work. It's just copy copy copy, smile at our teacher's weird comments and way of pronunciation, and have free time. It's all good.

BM is very entertaining. I may suck at it, but I like it. I think it's either the teacher (cikgu Ramlah rocks and likes to see her students scribble frantically on the whiteboard making a huge illegible mess), or that I somehow find subjects I'm terrible at fun.
For BM extra today, we did karangan. We wanted to hear the guys sing (as punishment for the worse karangan, with the isi most hancurrr) but didn't. Aw man.

MIB... We're in the middle of a project. I draw very slow, and I'm certain to fail, because we only have half an hour to finish it next Tuesday.

Can I exclude PE here? I got no comment, apart from Zal's still using crutches and takes ages to move from Science to Maths class. I like to tag along, so I have an excuse to be late for class.

Isi-isi penting.

I picked up Abhorsen yesterday at Icklebook's.

Now my eyes are tired from excessive reading, and I've got a pile of BM homework to do and Geo to study for some test our teacher plans on giving us tomorrow.

"Towns" is the worse topic ever. I think worse than Electricity. To me, it hardly makes any sense. I want to go back in time some twenty years ago and make sure the guy who wrote the Geo textbook would stop blabbering and get straight to the point.

Kimi won yesterday's race. Good for him. Poor Heikki Kovalainen crashed out into a tyre wall along with a few others (they didn't get the tire wall treatment though. Heikki's special). So special, he got carried off in a helicopter to find better medics than those available at Circuit de Catalunya. I'm not insulting them, don't worry.

To tell you the truth, I wanted Alonso to be on the podium instead of Hamilton. It was his home race, and it was definitely unfair for his engine to blow. Damn you Hamilton and your luck.

Oh, and Kimi cut his hair. Or should I say shaved? Now it looks too much like Hamilton's for comfort.

For Science, we studied the anatomy of pompoms. Yellow pompoms. Apparently our teacher was supposed to make them but put them off till the last minute. We managed to make quite a few, as the saying goes, "Many hands make light work."
Unfortunately, this also proves another piece of advice: "Don't put off till tomorrow what you can do today."

Which is what I did a few days ago. One day they're gonna listen to me when I tell them homework is bad for the health.

One day.

SAS Jubilee funfair.

My parents are hosting a party downstairs. And I'm stuck here online because I'm antisocial that way.

I'm having this really stupid chat with my friend right now.
It goes something like this:

www.blockingyou.com - Figure out who's blocking you in MSN! says:
hi

???
The Psychotic Elven Princess says:
don't ask stupid questions
we're using the same font

www.blockingyou.com - Figure out who's blocking you in MSN! says:
yea man
The Psychotic Elven Princess says:
hmmmmmm
i'm bored

So lame, right? YES. What makes it worse is that he's right beside me. We're such sad people.

I went to the SAS funfair this afternoon. It was hot, really hot, and I got addicted to Guitar Hero. It's not as cool as real life guitar, but it's fun.
I've got pics I want to upload, of the Mall having a blackout, but I'm on the other computer, so I can't upload pics from my phone.

Anyway, I got a 98.5 for my IRK. Ahh. Same as Fazrul, but Syah got a 100. So good. But I've never gotten this high before. (Sorry, taking time off to be proud of my little achievement. XD)

Due to my never-ceasing curiosity, I paid a little visit to the last cubicle of the girls' toilet on the second floor of Block D. There was already a small group of people outside, peering in. The first thing I saw was pink and purple, and a flooded toilet. The writing was emo and suicidal.
To sum it all up: GAY!

We built a buzzer in Science today. Application of electromagnets. It wasn't that bad. I almost got burnt when our "creation" gave out sparks when I all-so-stupidly touched part of the circuit with a urm, something, that thing, you know, used to clip onto wires to join wires to things.
Only then we realised, it was supposed to give out sparks. My bench got ours to vibrate, but not make any sound.

I'm sleepy. My parents are downstairs socialising and having fun. I'm stuck here being bored to death. Man, this sucks.

Lirael.

My throat feels dry.

When we were asked to yell our hearts out, heads turned in our direction, thinking there was some manslaughter over a ping-pong ball at Menglait. Manslaughter or no manslaughter, man, it felt so good. Best five seconds of the day.

It's fun to be as loud as possible without anybody complaining. I need to get myself a soundproof room and my subwoofer back in action. Then, I'll be alive once more.
Not that I'm not right now, but it's just... awesome.

Then there's all that talk about ear damage. "Don't constantly expose yourself to loud noises." Yes, I know about all that. It's good advice, take it.
To me, the ability to hear is one of the most important of all. I can't imagine a life without music.

If all goes well, I'll be at the St. Andrew's funfair tomorrow afternoon. That should be interesting.

I borrowed a book from the Reading Room for the first time in two years. It's brand new, straight outta the box it came in. Ms Anne was taping it up when I saw the beautifully blue cover with Charter marks on it. Lirael. I love it already.
I want to read Sabriel though. And I want to own Abhorsen. Three books by Garth Nix. Should do a lot to add to my collection.
Book addict. I love bookstores, but don't like to borrow books from libraries.
Own, not borrow. OWN.

I've got this strange thing going on. When I have one book of a good series, I must have the rest. It's a huge waste of money, I know, but I've got mental problems, so it's excused.
I admit, I have OCD. Slight OCD, but OCD all the same.

Obsessive-compulsive disorder.

So when I'm sued for anything, I can plead mental or something.

Back on topic, there are so many kinds of magic you can read about in books.
There's Harry Potter magic, where you get the typical wand-waving spell uttering and potions.
Eragon magic, where it's found inside a person and consumes energy, like Shades or the Argetlam (Dragon Riders) or their dragons, and the elves singing (somehow it's magical, don't ask me).
Lord of The Rings magic, where urm... where there are runes, rings, and all that jazz with magical items.
The Bartimaeus Trilogy magic, where magicians summon magical creatures such as jinn to do their work for them.
The magic in the Pure Dead Series, where Disposable Wands are used with a whole lot of funny junk. (Ectoplasm, anyone? It's free.)
And now there's Garth Nix's books. There's Charter magic (the use of Charter marks), and Free Magic (necromancy!).
Plus a whole lot more.

And then there's the collection of words to go with them...
Spells, charms, jinxes, runes, potions, illusions, protection, seal, guard, cast, heal, familiar, transform, etc.

Charter Magic.

I cannot believe it.
Jason Castro is still in American Idol after that craptastically hilarious performance. I'm sorry, Jason, but I laughed at you. Hahahah.

It's funny when people do stuff they aren't comfortable with. I'm so cruel.

My class is into writing emo poetry right now. It's all the same. I feel terrible, the sun rises, oh so beautiful, but it starts to rain, making me feel emo again, a rainbow comes, I feel loved, the sunset is even more beautiful, stars shine bright.
Something along those lines.

What the hell are you people thinking??
Whatever happened to fun poetry? The teachers are going to be so depressed reading it all.
Khairul's obsessed with this thing, and he keeps coming up with more and more emo poems every time he sees me so I can help him with it.
Argh.

Fatehah told me yesterday that her entire school was filled with air conditioners. Even the corridors. I am jealous. Completely, utterly envious. How come they get the aircon and we don't? I remember before I went to MS, they kept telling me stuff like this: "So good, got aircon." It's a lie. A big fat lie.

Since I'm in the mood to rant endlessly, I'll talk about when we were asked to assemble in the Audi at half past seven sharp.
Cikgu Discipline Master Extraordinaire didn't even need a microphone to make herself heard among us Form 3 girls. Someone had scribbled on one of the toilet walls in Block D, so we got all the blame. She said if nobody owned up by two in the afternoon, she'd make us all clean the toilets. An interesting prospect.

But why pin the blame on us? How about the other people in school?

One other thing I don't get is why on earth would anyone write the names of the people they like on toilet walls? Why not somewhere more...respectable? Like a library or something (not that I'm encouraging this, of course).
I find it a bit urgh-ish. Toilets, no, they're not the least appealing. Unless you're in a six-star hotel, where the toilet seats are gold-tinted, with the highest quality of toilet paper, soft white towels, good hygiene, a marble floor, hot water, dry floors and good-smelling scent things.

I just described the ideal bathroom. Wow.

Who doesn't want good quality toilet paper?

I want a soft white towel. As soft as silk, but one that soaks up water.

Mmm... Yeah.

Dancing Iron Filings.

I just realised I could put my iPod on shuffle without looking. Cool.

I have also realised that today's date sounds nice. 23-4. Shakespeare's birthday. Manda's birthday. Happy fourteenth birthday, if you're reading this.

The Green Patrol's patrolling starts today. Even if I'm not a member of the MS Youth Initiative, please recycle and make their lives easier. You know how much red paint my classmates accidentally sprayed on the windows to paint those boxes?
A bit.

We had another assembly today. That woman (I will keep her name private in case she finds out, but you know her) kept telling us to stand straight, stop talking and to sing louder and synchronised. One reason why we can't sing synchronised is that when she says "mula", one side of the concourse hears it first. It's the law of sound travel. So it takes maybe half a second later for the rest of us on the other side to hear it and react.
It's Science.

We got video-ed during Science for some reason. It was awfully awkward, and I couldn't stop laughing because the iron filings were dancing. Yes, people, dancing. On the nail electromagnet thing with less coils, this teeny piece of iron was vibrating so much it looked like it was at some disco.
So cute.

Then Stephanie just had to poke them with her pen and discovered the electromagnet sent out vibrations if you held your pen tip close to it. Now that was cool. Our Science teacher said, "If I get electrocuted, it's your fault."
Yes 'cher. I know.

Oh, and I have a question.

Why do the Form Ones and Twos need another HEP?
More importantly, with less evil teachers?
