Hysteria.

Listening to Mika now. 'Life In Cartoon Motion', because I only have one song from 'The Boy Who Knew Too Much', and that's 'Rain'.

Anyway, just got back from this exceptionally long boarding assembly, where announcements were made that sort of shocked us all. Interesting changes, yes, definitely interesting.

Today's the last day of February, since it's not a leap year. Meaning tomorrow's the start of March 2011 and the start of yet another month of epic craziness and awesome hectic-ness.

I love life. Sometimes it might be horribly stressful where deadlines have to be met and things have to be worked hard for, and people might die for totally undeserved reasons, and there might be suffering, but without all that bad stuff we wouldn't really be able to acknowledge the good stuff.

Oh yeah, we are living the good stuff. We just don't realise it.

It'd be nice if everyone was nice to everyone else, and that we were generous, open, accepting souls. Then the good stuff would become the better stuff.

If only.

So yeah, Monday today. Did like, stuff.

Mr Chin asked us why women want to go for breast enhancements, and I answered him with one word: men. But it is true, isn't it? Men. Either to attract men, to keep men, to ensnare men, whichever. It's still men. That, and because women don't like feeling inferior to other women.

From what I gather about women, that is.

Watched awesome yet slightly offensive advertisements during English, 'cause Mr Chin is cool like that.

Then had Math. Fun, confusing, vector stuff. Ah vectors.

Physics was lame, as usual. Got sent to the box a few times, just 'cause Mr Yeo felt like it. Feel bad 'cause I accidentally got Cheese and Daryl to write a page-long reflection each. Whoops.

Waves and oscillations and SHM. Must not fail Physics. I'm good, I'm good. That's what I like to tell myself.

And then maybe, just maybe, I won't drop Physics next year. Who knows. We'll see.

Going off now.

Night.

P.S. House meeting? Go Fibo. Awesome Super Mario reenactment, Year 3s. So so proud of Fibo Year 3s.

P.P.S. Congratulations to the cast and crew of 'The King's Speech', for winning four of their twelve Oscar nominations. Best Actor, Best Picture, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Director. Amazing movie indeed.

我问天

Listening to Hokkien songs on YouTube right now, especially this one, which is the theme song from the famous Taiwanese drama 爱. It reminds me so much of home, and how my grandmother would sit there and watch almost every day without fail and I'd have to turn on the Malay subtitles just so I could understand what they were talking about.

Ah, Taiwanese dramas. They always seem to never end. They just go on forever and ever and ever, losing viewers, gaining new ones, and then old viewers regain and interest while the newer viewers give up on trying to catch up. Scary things.

Pretty much stayed in the hostel today, writing reflections for Chem and getting nothing else done. Oh distractions, go away. I need to delete Safari from my dock. Removes temptation.

Then went out for dinner with Fatinn, Fatin (the junior, and no, I didn't type the same name twice) and Hafiy. Got myself a shirt that says "I'm not confused. ...Wait, just give me a second." I just had to have it, because I seem to live in constant confusion and it's just really ironic.

Came back and room-cleaned. I love that feeling of accomplishment when you clean your room and everything's all clean and smells nice.

Didn't post yesterday 'cause I was too busy doing God-knows-what. Got back late 'cause I went out to watch 'I Am Number Four' with a bunch of random people.

It was a rather inconclusive movie, so I'mma conclude that I won't judge it until I get my hands on the book. I have a feeling it's like the 'Percy Jackson' movie. It made it look horrible and unexplained, but when you read the actual series it is indeed quite awesome.

So yeah, books > movies based on books. 99% of the time.

All right, I'm going to go off now to do something more productive.

Adieu.

P.S. New ear studs are in, and I hope they go unnoticed. I mean, come on, compared to what other people are wearing on their lobes these are tiny. And simple. I don't know what they've got against cartilage piercings.

Pride.

Okay, because I'm too impatient to wait until my 1000th post, I'm going to point out that this is my 900th.

When I think of all the time I've wasted typing these out, it kinda makes me wish I'd never started this blogging thing in the first place. But then I look back at all the awesome things I've written about my life (yes, my ego is huge) and I think, then again, it's not bad after all, to invest some time into recording things worth remembering in the future.

Speaking of things worth remembering, I definitely do not want to remember how today's Bio quiz went down, because I got freaked out halfway through due to the MCQ answers that coincidentally spelt out a certain word, and then I just stopped thinking and I'm probably going to do horribly for it.

Oh well. Lesson learnt. Don't waste time looking for coincidences and don't waste time procrastinating. Bad for you.

Prac was the most unproductive session ever. Probably ever in the history of my life. Got close to nothing accomplished, but that's okay because I bet everyone else didn't get much done either. Oh cell staining, why are you so hard to perfect?

Math was okay, really. Vectors are fine. Every time I look at the word I inevitably think of Vector from 'Despicable Me', and him going "I'm Vector! With both magnitude and direction!". Oh my life is sad.

Econs was well, sleepy, but made some sense, because it is really mostly common sense.

Had the most boring break ever, and then CCA.

I really want us to produce things for CCA, you know. I don't want us to end up all talk with nothing to prove ourselves with. We need videos and without effort that's not going to happen any time sooner.

I need a brainstorming cap or something. I've heard of those. They're supposed to help you think.

Ideas are hard to come by nowadays. Sometimes when they come to you when you're not thinking about it. Hard to force brainstorming, but it's depressing when we're just sitting there and people assume we're not doing anything.

Okay, enough for now. Have other things to be doing.

Night.

P.S. Quote of the day: "Presenting the hit single Tik and also Tok, by the rapper Ke-dollar sign-Ha." Oh Glee.

P.P.S. Speaking of Glee, MCR was on the previous episode of Glee. I'm so proud. They do write good songs, don't they?

Stuffed.

Okay, okay, fast post for tonight, 'cause I've got a cell Bio quiz tomorrow I don't want to fail, and it's late and I'm tired and sleepy but oh so full.

Oh so full.

We only eat like this once a year, so we figured that if we didn't eat all day, we'd have more space to fill with good, free food.

But yeah, I don't know if that's abuse of our National Day celebration. I sure hope not.

Oh that sense of unity amongst Bruneians, where we stuff our faces and take photographs and laugh at ourselves doing stupid things.

I love our National Day celebrations. One of the best events of the year, I think.

Feels so much like a Friday night 'cause yesterday was Thursday, but today's Wednesday and I have a sneaking suspicion this timetable swap thing is messing with my mind.

Had awesome fun during Bio D today, 'cause we got to look at shells and an octopus, a squid, a cuttlefish, and an earthworm (who was still very much alive, unlike the rest of the specimens).

Finished it in time, which was a first. Usually I spend forever drawing the diagrams, but there was only one required for this prac so I had plenty of leftover time to play around with the earthworm.

Okay that's enough for now. Nothing else eventful happened and man I am sleepy.

I think all my energy's been channelled to the digestion of food.

Arrivederci.

P.S. It's time the real work started.

Tug of war.

You know, with all these things going on around the world, it's good to keep yourself updated.

But nowadays I find myself simply refusing to do so. Yeah, knowing how badly we've screwed up the world just makes me sad, and I don't want to intentionally make myself sad.

People dying, destruction, murder, rape, pain, suffering, so much loss. It's horrible, and I just want to live in my little bubble of ignorance-induced peace for a little while longer.

So yeah, in my little bubble of ignorance-induced peace, it's a Thursday today, because our timetable swap dictated it to be so.

PE was quite fun, actually, 'cause we got to tug of war and not run rounds around the track. Arms and shoulders kind of ache from all the pulling, and the strain-taking, but yeah it was awesome fun.

Managed to get John Huang on our team, which was a ridiculously large added bonus to our "d-bag" technique.

Postponed our karangan test to next Tuesday, 'cause we were all tired and dying from PE. Did crosswords instead.

Sat around listening to a lecture on mortality rates during Geog, and then sat around some more when our teacher had to leave. Accomplished very little, and things got weird with sticky-note-sticking.

Wrote a lot during English, 'cause of that essay test we just had to have. Doing English here just raises my insecurities about my ever depreciating standard of English, but I dunno. I still enjoy writing, whether they like it or not. They might not give me As anymore, but I'm cool with that.

Mr Chia cracked some really, really lame jokes during Math, but that's okay, because we're lame enough to laugh along with him.

Stayed in the canteen longer than usual during dinner, 'cause the library's closed tonight, and therefore no study time in the library. We sort of have to fulfill our quota of hanging out together, us hostel people.

Then like, celebrated Jiann Guo's birthday later on in the night, 'cause that's what Bruneians do, we get together to make people less depressed on their birthdays. Go Bruneian unity.

All right, better be going off now.

Night.

P.S. Want to know what Mr Chia thinks is the most amazing coincidence in the world? That his mother and father got married on the same day. How unthinkable.

"I know it's my destiny." -Pokémon OST

Listening to the Pokémon season 1 opening theme at the moment, because I find it highly inspirational.

I mean, just look at the lyrics. "I want to be the very best/Like no one ever was.../I will travel across the land/Searching far and wide/.../It's you and me/I know it's my destiny/Our hearts so true/Our courage will pull us through/.../Every challenge along the way/With courage I will face/I will battle every day/To claim my rightful place/Come with me/The time is right/There's no better team/Arm in arm we'll win the fight/It's always been our dream..."

You see that? It's ridiculously inspirational. It tells us to strive forward, to have dreams and ambitions, and that when we persevere and do the right things and work hard we'll be able to achieve them.

Kids nowadays don't know what they're missing out on. Such legendary (pun intended) Pokémon brilliance.

Oh those were the days, those were the days.

Tomorrow's a Thursday, so I'm bracing myself for PE, but our PE teacher promised us no running this week. Hmm. It's all a matter of trust.

More FFB during Malay today (FFB being Faiz's acronym for 'Frasa-Frasa Berbunga'), and then like, sort of wrote a karangan.

Then had Chem, where we had to deal with drawing out confusing thermochemical cycles and calculating latent energy and things like that. Oh yeah, Chem.

Hung out in 03 before Econs, 'cause that's where all the musical instruments are kept. Turned into an impromptu jamming/sort-of-campfire singing session. Fun. Which reminds me why I need to expand my popular generic pop song repertoire.

Almost fell asleep during Econs, but you know, pulled through. Must've been the high-ness breakdown from yesterday.

Okay, I'mma go off now. Have Geog to read up on.

Night.

P.S. Are we in a huge mess tomorrow, or what? PE first thing in the morning, followed by a karangan test, followed by a Geog sharing session, followed by an essay test for English. Oh so much writing.

The Doppler Effect.

Waiting for Glee to load, so I'm here to talk about life.

Which I do pretty much every day, so not much difference there.

So yeah, it's the start of a new week today. Went through things during English, and did some integration during Math, but when Physics came by everyone (in our half of the class) was higher than usual (and that's saying a lot, 'cause we're sort of high in every single class).

Must be the green tea. I'm unsure.

But man were we high. Lame jokes all around, yeah.

Yos and I came to some sort of revelation in class. What's most weird about our school is not that we make lame, extremely nerdy jokes regular people wouldn't find funny, but that we find our jokes absolutely hilarious.

Why? What's wrong with us? God knows.

But you know, it's good to have things to laugh about, nerdy and no-lifer or not.

Okay, going off now. Have television shows to watch, and work to do.

Night.

P.S. The Big Bang Theory references in class ftw. I love 405.

P.P.S. Mass 203 convo on MSN now. Man I miss 203.
