On Stranger Tides.

Listening to part of the 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl' soundtrack at the moment, because even hours from watching 'Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides', I still can't stop thinking about pirates and epicness and Captain Jack Sparrow (and Johnny Depp, of course).

Yeah, went to watch this afternoon for our cluster outing at Vivo.

It definitely wasn't as great as the prior three movies, but honestly speaking, I don't think POTC 4 was ever in danger of sinking into a horrible mess of failed sequels because they have Johnny Depp there.

Thought the mermaids a bit creepy (albeit quite pretty, yes), the Spaniards really robotic and Penelope Cruz's accent unnerving. But I definitely enjoyed it, and it was definitely worth watching.

There's just this thing about pirates and their lifestyles and the way they talk and carry themselves that amazes me. Why don't we talk like that anymore? That would be fun.

I find it interesting that I like to delve deep into the heart of fantasy and fiction. I think it's because I'm sort of addicted to immersing myself and getting away from the real world. Yeah, stories interest me. Alternative worlds and parallel universes intrigue me. So many possibilities to explore.

Anyway, back to reality.

Sort of helped out for our hostel open house today, 'cause I had nothing better to do, and I kinda wanted to see what they'd tell parents (out of curiosity). Ended up telling parents stuff myself, 'cause Woan Chyi and I got assigned to do this tour thing.

It's funny how I try to make some joke and all the parents just stare at me funny. I think it's my sense of humour, but I'm unsure. Maybe I should just stop trying to be funny altogether. But I can't stand it when things get all serious and "business-like". Come on, man, let me have my bit of fun.

Okay, better be off now.

Adieu.

P.S. Looks like the Rapture's behind schedule again. Oh well.

P.P.S. Going to edit long overdue vlog tomorrow morning, I swear it.

P.P.P.S. Looks like our shameless advertising is working. Saw people today and they totally made video references. Good for them.
