Universal Studios Singapore

Hello world.

Went to Universal Studios Singapore today, with a bunch of Bruneians (Wardah, Fatinn, Fatin, Hafiy, for Wardah's birthday. Oh Wardah, happy birthday.

Not going to give details because I have a bunch of footage that will eventually turn into another vlog nobody will watch, but then again hardly anyone will read this either, so no difference, really.

Had awesome fun though, despite me being scared sh*tless by roller coaster rides (yes, I'll admit I'm a complete scaredy-cat and I'm totally ashamed of myself) and other things (wow I am such a failure, aren't I?). I think I've kind of established the idea (to myself, of course) that I do not particularly enjoy theme parks/amusement parks because I'm a complete chicken and because I can't stand the artificiality for a prolonged period of time.

There's a certain smell they have there that makes me uncomfortable. Too much plastic and props, I think.

And the commercialism. Oh the commercialism. I totally admire these people for being able to coax you into buying things and unnecessarily spending more money with really, really enticing products. It's funny how it sucks to be on the receiving end though.

Or maybe that's because I'm cheap. I'm unsure. I confuse me most of the time.

Happiest moment? When they played a snippet of 'Welcome To The Black Parade' before this show we were watching, and I could've died of happiness because you rarely hear people play MCR in public anymore. It's always these generic pop songs.

I love rock. Yes, yes I do. I've never thought any genre better. It's like rock has always been and will always be the one for me. It's anchored to my soul and I know it'll always be there for me when I need reminding of how good music can sound sometimes. Number one genre, yeah.

It's beautiful. I don't know how some people don't see it.

All right, I'm feeling ridiculously tired right now.

Night.

P.S. You know, when people ask me why I listen to "old people music", I don't really mind anymore. It's where (most of) the good stuff is.
