Rebecca Black.

Oh lord, what has blind commercialism and wannabe teenagers done to the world?

Horrible, horrible, pointless things, that's what.

Wei Ren sent me this link to a music video I will gladly never watch again (I closed the window two minutes into the awfulness that followed) shortly before it went viral and started trending on Twitter.

According to this article, the only reason why the music video to her oh-so-eruditely written "song" (it doesn't even qualify as a song in my books) seemed to have a slightest hint of professionalism in it was because her parents were rich enough to fund her biggest dreams.

This makes me sad.

The money could've gone to, let's say, charities, or poorer, less fortunate people. Some things some people could've thought of, and some things some people could've thought of to teach their children. But no, it had to go to making people like me sad, because that's definitely how I felt when I watched it.

You know those times when you don't know whether to laugh because it was so bad, or to cry for a lost cause. What has the world come to, man?

As xkcd so blatantly put it, we're totally losing out to the old times. So much for advancement in all areas.

We're definitely losing it here.

Losing it.

Oh no.

Tweaking a script on Google docs now, so catch you later.

Night.
