Communication breakdown.

I came up with this equation today:

Non-English speaker speaking English + non-English speaker speaking English =
What the hell are ya talkin' about, man?

Still nobody could pronounce "that German guy's" name.

Friedemann Wuttke is a decent guy. I like his German accent.

The workshop was a lot of fun, but my ass hurt from sitting too long. People kept asking him about his "secrets" to being a great guitarist and performer. But it's no secret, really. We just want to know his techniques. Words are powerful things.

He said, "It is one thing to play fast and play piano, and a different thing to play fast and powerful."

Translation in English?
"It is one thing to be able to play fast and softly, but a different thing to be able to play fast and loudly/with emotion."

He gave this guy new strings. That was cool. Oh, and he smiled a lot as well.

His guitar cost 15,000 euros (I overheard him talking to another guy).

Musicians make a lot of money. I wonder why.

Classical guitar kicks ass, man.
(But sadly nobody thinks it's "cool" anymore.)
